I have a nostolgic attraction to the idea of an iconic American beauty. American girls are the innovators of cut-off denim shorts; the perfectors of voluptuous, full blow-outs; and the fearless babes on the back of motorbikes exploring the open roads of the Wild West. I always find myself reminiscing about Farrah Fawcett dawning her full, blonde waves and tossing her head back with a flirtatious laugh and Cindy Crawford sipping a Pepsi at a desolate gas station in the desert. America is young, but its culture is timeless and its women are classics.
God Bless America.
Caitlin has naturally very curly hair, which means that it holds and sets perfectly if it is properly tamed. With damp hair, I blew her out using my YS Parks round brush. After drying and heating each section, I pinned the sections into barrel curls that I set and rolled away from her face. Once the set cooled, I pulled the pins out and brushed the curls out with a bristle-y paddle brush. This formed the full, sexy American look that Caitlin effortlessly rocks.
As always, I am thankful for the artists that surround me and support my (sometimes wacky) visions. Xonnoisseur Photography is responsible for snapping the images of my gorgeous client and friend, Caitlin Searle. Bridgette Black perfected Caitlin's face with her outstanding makeup artistry, and Christian DaCosta shot video of all of our fun moments. I also cannot forget to thank and credit my boyfriend, Trevor, for hauling up his brother, Tyler's, Honda cb 360. (You boys will forever be my ride-or-dies!) All of you are amazing at life! Xox
